More than 600 donated wooden artifacts were carved into the thirty-four foot Canada Tree, including a wooden box from a holocaust survivor, a pencil from Margaret Atwood, shingles from the Green Gables House, planks from the Bluenose II, Jack Pine from the Northwest Territories and Peter Gzowski’s trademark gavel.

Contributions were also made by local members of the Montague community, including Mexican iron wood from Steve Harper and Dr. Jim McNeill’s familiar pipe.
